Ben Gertz

Bennett Gertz, M.D., earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Cognitive Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Medical degree at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Gertz completed his Pediatrics residency at Georgetown University and his Neurodevelopmental Disabilities fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. During his training, he also completed the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) fellowship. Dr. Gertz moved to Portland in 2010. He worked at a multidisciplinary child development clinic for several years, which was originally known as the Artz Center, and later acquired by Albertina Kerr as Children’s Developmental Health Services. He then joined the Children’s Program in 2017. Dr. Gertz enjoys working with children with a variety of developmental disorders, and their families, for medical evaluations, developmental monitoring and medication management.
